After assembling most of the components it was time to sho them to the advisors from DLR. Since we are in time and the parts are well engineered, we had no reason to worry about this review beforehand. Everything went well and we got a pass for the next step of our journey. In the following post you can see some impressions from the IPR at our university.
We started with the presentation of our hardware. In the front you can see the main module which holds our computing unit and the power converters. In the back is our sensor module which holds one preprocessor and a camera. Of course it will be full of cameras and preprocessors at launch. On the left side are our stickers and the test plan for the thermal test at the Experiment Acceptance Review.
Isabell, Nico and Ric are demonstrating the mechanical setup to our advisors. Have a look at the snack box by thorlabs. Ths was a great gift.
Afterwards the algorithm was presented by Sebastian and Eike.
And the groundstation was launched.
Dominik and Lukas had to face lots of question about the software of the board computer. But none of them stayed unanswered.
In the end, it was a very successful review and we are on the right track.
